Why Surveillance Matters

ALPR surveillance creates a permanent digital record of your movements throughout La Puente, often without a warrant or meaningful oversight. This expansion of the surveillance state disproportionately affects our privacy and the civil liberties of every resident. By documenting our daily commutes and location history, these systems threaten the fundamental right to move freely in our own community. We invite you to explore the rest of our research and learn how you can join our efforts to protect the privacy of the San Gabriel Valley.
